First group of Russian pilgrims arrives in Makkah ahead of Hajj

RIYADH: The first group of pilgrims from Russia to arrive in Makkah for this year’s Hajj was received on Wednesday by Rehlat W Manafae, a subsidiary of the company serving Arab pilgrims Ashraqat. 

The group, numbering 200 pilgrims, was presented with Zamzam water, flowers, and gifts on arrival in the holy city.

25,000 Russian pilgrims are expected to perform Hajj this year and around 1.2 million pilgrims from around the world have arrived in the Kingdom as of Thursday, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah has said.

Ashraqat’s chairman of the board of directors Muhammad Maajini said the company is committed to providing distinguished services to over 450,000 Hajj pilgrims from various continents.
